Nebraska Bid-Off Weekend, September 18 – 19, here at the
farm. Due to a family wedding conflict, we are unable to
consign calves to the Rocking J Sale this year. Watch for
club calf sale updates on Facebook and this website.

Selling at the farm
during the Northeast Nebraska Bid-Off Weekend, September
18 – 19. We project that we will have a select group of
calves selling in the bid off format (bid deadline…6:00
p.m., Sunday, September 19). The balance of the calf
crop will be a priced group (load and go). For updates,
follow our Facebook page and our website.
We will register eligible
heifers and steers at buyer’s request within 30 days of

Mitten Brand genetics
were well received across two breeds. All six head were
sired by Mitten Man, and sold into Iowa, Missouri, North
Dakota, Oklahoma and Washington.
The females were paternal
siblings. The bulls, classified on paper as Chimaines,
were full siblings. The bulls were full siblings to BFW
Repair Man (’09 NWSS), also.
This is the third
consecutive year a Mitten Man son has posted the largest
REA in the American Chianina Association’s “Peak of
