Showsteers.com will be offering  two $500.00 Scholarships for High School Seniors Graduating in 2009.  To be eligible for the scholarship the student must meet the following criteria:

• 2009 Graduating Senior.

• Student must be enrolled in an accredited college, university, technical school, community college or junior college.

• One scholarship will be awarded to a student who has participated in the show cattle industry.

• One scholarship will be awarded to a student who has participated in the show cattle industry and who's family is a current customer of Showsteers.com.

Criteria used for Selection:
Leadership Accomplishments
Extra-curricular activities at current school.
Community Service
Scholastic Achievement
Financial Need
Participation in the show cattle industry. (past accomplishments with cattle)
A transcript of the applicant’s high school grades.

Application:
Applicants may present the information requested in an original and self-made format.  The application should include the following:

• College or Post Secondary school you plan to attend. (please include address)

• Write a brief essay on a topic associated with the cattle industry.

• Please write a brief statement about your participation in the show cattle industry.

• In a brief statement indicate why you have chosen this profession and how your career choice will contribute to your immediate or long range career plans.

• Please include a brief statement as to your need for financial assistance.

• Include a resume’ of your high school activities including any awards, honors or leadership roles.

• Include a transcript of the your high school grades.

• Please include a picture of yourself and permission for use. (to be used in our advertising only)

Deadline for Scholarship Applications:
Applications must be completed, mailed and received by Aug. 1st, 2009.
